Bitter Sweet Apple Chips
(Makes 20-25 chips)
Great as ice cream wafers or crackers with pate.

Ingredients
125 mls Gusto Tart Apple Syrup
1 cup of caster sugar
2 Cups Water
1/4 Cup Freshly squeezed lemon juice
20-25 Thinly sliced apple wafers (Granny Smith's are great for this recipe)
Instructions
1.Bring sugar, water, apple syrup, and lemon juice to a simmer.
2.Add the apple slices and simmer in the syrup for 10 minutes or until translucent.
3.Gently remove the apple slices one at a time, and lay them flat on a sheet of baking paper.
4.Bake at 225 C for 1 hour, or until the apples are thoroughly dry.
5.Carefully transfer the chips to a cool rack.
6.Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
