| Mulled Apple Brandy |
| Makes about 4 cups, serving 4 to 6 |
| "Just the thing after a long day on the ski slopes", from the Stam's Gusto snow ski team |

| 1/2 cup Gusto Apple Syrup (Sweet/Tart/Organic depending on taste) |
| 2 1/2 cups water |
| 2 tablespoons firmly packed light brown sugar |
| 3 whole Allspice berries |
| 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg |
| 4 whole cloves |
| 2 x 75mm Cinnamon sticks, broken into short lengths |
| 1/2 Granny Smith or other tart apple, cored and sliced thinly. |
| 1/2 cup Apple Brandy or Calvados |

| 1. | In a saucepan stir together apple syrup, water, brown sugar, allspice, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon pieces, and apple. |
| 2. | Cover and simmer gently for 10 minutes. |
| 3. | Stir in the Brandy or Calvados and increase to moderate heat. |
| 4. | After a few miniutes discard allspice, cloves, and cinnamon. |
| 5. | Divide the mulled Apple Brandy among heated mugs and garnish each drink with a few of the apple slices. |
